yummy...

Dinner tonight will consist of Monday Night Football, and Roasted Chicken and Potatoes. I have assigned myself with the task of cooking the potatoes, and here's a recipe [cookingforengineers.com] I stumbled across. The point of this post is to show you the absurd lengths to which the analytical-minded would go to accurately describe, in documented and pictorial detail, what would normally otherwise be scribed as a "recipe".

What a blessing.

Jack, I like the website CookingforEngineers The perspective is an interesting one for cooking. I tend to be partial to potatoes myself. Tonight I made Ratatouille over polenta and it was quite tasty.

Though the picture above was from the website, they certainly turned out verbatim, pyrex dish and all. Except for the part where I burned and later blistered a part of my thumb upon removing from the oven, it was all amazingly good. Susan took care of preparing the cornish hen and putting it on the rotisserie spit on the nice poolside gas grill at her condo, and it turned out marvelous as well. And the Colts...are still undefeated.

Sometimes cooking is yummy. I had a sweet potato with butter and brown sugar, leftover stuffing, cranberry sauce, and green beans for dinner tonight. It was a simple, hearty, good meal, perfect for the windy and rainy day we're having today. OOoh, and I have apple cranberry pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Hooray!
