Here is a photo of my roommate and me on the beach after a 3 mile hike a few weeks ago. We went with friends and had a beautiful fun day out on a hike.

Dancing is fun!

I took today, a day when I should have been doing schoolwork, and spent it instead as a me day.

I went shopping, and then I saw Red Hot Ballroom, which is just about the feel-goodest a movie can get without actually exploding from happiness.

I want to go out dancing now...and perhaps I will...maybe on Thursday....we'll see. It's still hard to get up and go out dancing on my own.

I hope you all are having a splendiferous Saturday.

they grow so quickly

Hi all. I'm at home in San Jose now, using up my vacation hours to be home with my family and my sister for her graduation from high school. It is nice and relaxing to do nothing here and not have a worry save for what to feed myself. In my boredom, I have taken some pictures of the lilies I bought for Maggie.

When I bought them they all looked like this:

After a couple of days, most of them have bloomed beautifully:

Farewell my loves

In just 8 1/2 short hours I am heading to New Hampshire for the summer. As some of you may recall, that is the land of sparse communication. I am saying farewell for now because I have no idea when/if/how often I will get the chance to check my email, post notes to you, and read your missives. I hope that everyone has a superb summer, gets lots of delicious sun, and takes many pictures to share with me later. Take care, and I will definitely be back in August, maybe before then.
