So you wanna be annoyed at a television show
It's really sad that i'm coming back from my posting-haitus for this comment, but whatever.
Did anyone else see tonight's episode of "So you think you can dance"?
And was anyone else really really bothered by it? It was like 1.5 hours of showing people being mean to each other. Dancers being mean to other dancers....choreographers being mean to dancers.... SHEESH! Enough already. Instead of seeing the good dancers were might actually make it to the final round of auditions we just got to see a lot of annoying bickering.
The only good part was like the hip-hop dance off between Melody (who might be one of my favorites) and the other modern dancer whose name escapes me.... Ashley I think it was. Cause they were good, and that was like competitive, but in good fun. And yeah, it actually showed the choreographer (GASP!) being nice to a student.
And that ballroom lady was really annoying me with comments about people's hair. goodness. I mean, I know ballroom is refined and all. But lordy.
If they don't shape up soon they will lose me as a loyal viewer. Ya hear that FOX?!

I don't know why they spent a lot of time showing the drama between Allan and Blake and the puppy named Pancake. I thought that along with all the other "drama" took away from the dancing. Fox likes to level everything down to standard-fare reality TV, don't they? Dammit. And I have to agree that my only favorite parts were the staged battles between the better dancers. (The part where everybody started spontaneously crying was confusingly interesting, though.) However, I think I'm still able to watch the show because I've been usually busy cooking dinner while listening to the sub-par parts.
My favorites so far: Big Poppa, Melody, the guy with the spiky hair, and Mia the judge. :-) Who are yours, Jen?
On Veronica Mars:
> watching the eps on cbs on fridays
CBS? but...but.. it's a UPN show?
> I would love a VM topic started
I'm game..as I'll try to watch more on my own too.
> he totally has the hots for veronica.
yes. yes i do.
(was deeply saddened when she didn't show up to Comic-Con. But Ayelet quickly quieted that with quick her elbow jab.)
Those cats are truly, truly insane.
what's the broadway thingy?
cbs is showing vm b/c it and upn are owned by viacom, and they are actually trying to support a quality show! wackiness!
i forget if they show different episodes on wed and fri...they rerun, on upn, the wed (upn) show on sundays, or at least they did last sunday, so there are A LOT of possible vm viewing times.
maybe i'll open up a topic about veronica mars in general, rather than a specific ep.
